MasterClass Pricing Plan

There are ways in which you can buy a Masterclass, an all-access pass, and a single Masterclass.

Who is Serena Williams?

Serena Williams is a renowned American tennis player. She reached the top of the world ranking eight times between the year 2002 up to 2017. Serena reached the highest ranking on the 8th of July 2008. Serena has been #1 for 319 weeks, in which she took 3rd place in the open era between legendary players behind Martina Navratilova and Graf. Serena also has the most Grand Slam titles in mixed doubles, doubles, and singles. She is also the youngest tennis player in the world to grab four Grand Slam titles in one year.

In other words, she’s the greatest women’s tennis player of all time and is arguably the greatest tennis player of all time regardless of gender.

Serena Williams MasterClass Pros

Serena Williams’ MasterClass is a great resource for any tennis player.

For starters, like all MasterClass courses, Serena Willams’ course has amazing production quality. Seriously, you’ll be hooked just by how good the classes look.

The course doesn’t just look good though, Williams goes through parts of her game that viewers can implement into theirs without too much hassle. One of the downsides of the competitive world on online tennis tutoring is that the shots can be over-analyzed and taken to the smallest detail. That instruction is awesome if you’re one-on-one with a coach who can physically assist you and analyze your shot. However, for online lessons, that’s way too much information.

Williams gives viewers the fundamentals that can be used by anyone.

Serena Williams’ serve is arguably her biggest asset on the court (arguably, it’s a very long list of assets) and it’s covered well in this course. While it’s important to know how the pros serve, it’s also important to train your body. Serena Williams credits her serve to experience throwing a football as a child – her dad picked the link biomechanical between throwing a football and serving a tennis ball.

The mental part of the game is also covered in the MasterClass. Tennis, being a one-on-one game is played between the ears before it’s played on the court. Williams is a master of the mental game of tennis and covers it well in this course with a bunch of great pieces of advice that anyone can use in their game.

I also love how the PDF workbook is a training plan that’ll get you using the skills from the course straight away.

Serena Williams MasterClass Cons

There isn’t a lot to dislike about Serena Williams’ MasterClass. However, what I would say, is the all-access pass doesn’t really make sense if you’re signing up to MasterClass for the tennis content.

You’ll notice that a lot of other courses are in clusters. For example, there’s a bunch of writing courses and multiple poker courses. So, if you’re a writer who is interested in the Gladwell course, you’ll have another four or five courses on writing to make your subscription worthwhile.

I would have liked to see a few more tennis courses on the platform to give an extra incentive for tennis fans to sign up for the course. Perhaps that way, each player can give a deep-dive into their specialty in the game.

However, there are a bunch of other great courses on the platform, so you’ll probably find something you’re interested in anyway (the cooking course with Gordon Ramsay is a great option).
